We will paddle the main stem of the Penobscot including Class II rapids and bike a mixture of single tracks and paved roads. This trip is open to experienced and beginner bike rafters. If you are worried your boat isn’t going to carry a Bikeraft, I have plenty of Caribous and Mules for people to borrow. You need to bring your own bike, There is a local bike shop that offers rentals.
This trip is meant for Round Up attendees.
Head over to the East Outlet of the Kennebec for a fun day of Class 2 Whitewater Packrafting. This is one of our go to runs with consistent water throughout the summer. This 3 mile run offers 2 solid Class II drops, multiple surf waves, and play spots, and several fun drill spots for Peel Outs and Catching Eddys. From the bottom we will pack up boats and hike out 3 miles to the cars.
We will meet up at 10am and should be packed up and finished by 3pm, with plenty of time to drive over to Big Eddy.
Leaving directly from Big Eddy Campground. We will paddle a Class II-III section of the Lower West Branch, between the Big Eddy Rapid and Horserace rapid. With portages around larger drops this trip is perfect for beginner and intermediate whitewater boaters. Paddle your own boat or borrow a boat from Packraft Maine!
You’ve been styling Class IIs and entry IIIs all weekend! Maybe you are feeling like you want to try some bigger water! Join us for a park and play progression on a few big and friendly drops. We will work together on the skills to paddle big water successfully, and set safety to be there if you need any help along the way.
